Terms of Service

Terms for using Origami.

These terms apply to the Origami Discord bot, dashboard, public profile pages, API-backed web features, and related services.

1

Acceptance

By adding Origami to a Discord server, using its commands, signing in to the dashboard, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Origami.

You must also follow Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any rules that apply to servers where you use Origami.

2

The service

Origami provides proxying, profiles, groups, switches, privacy controls, moderation tools, migration features, and web-based system management. Features may change as the service develops.

No impersonation licence.

Origami's proxying features do not give permission to impersonate, harass, deceive, or violate another person's rights or a server's rules.

3

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content and configuration you create through Origami and for ensuring your use is lawful and permitted by Discord and the relevant server.

Do not use Origami to abuse Discord, evade moderation, gain unauthorised access, distribute malware, spam, harass others, or interfere with the service. Do not attempt to bypass Origami's attribution, moderation, access-control, or privacy mechanisms.

4

Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Origami the limited permission necessary to store, process, display, and transmit that content to provide the features you request.

Public-profile content may be visible on the web when its privacy setting is public. Private and system-only data is handled according to Origami's privacy controls and Privacy Policy.

5

Availability and changes

Origami is provided on an as-available basis. Maintenance, outages, Discord API changes, network failures, bugs, or other events may interrupt the service. We may add, change, or remove features where necessary to operate or improve Origami.

6

Suspension and termination

Access may be restricted or terminated when necessary to protect users, Discord servers, the service, or third parties; to respond to abuse; or to comply with legal or platform requirements.

You can stop using Origami at any time. Server administrators can remove the bot from their server, and users can remove or change data using the available bot and dashboard controls.

7

Disclaimers and liability

Origami is provided without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of, or inability to use, the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

8

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the service, platform requirements, or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.

Effective: 3 October 2026.
